History of the Texas Township
Website About four years ago, (on Jan. 21, 2008) residents
requested that Texas Township Supervisors set up a website with information regarding the township Agenda, Minutes and Ordinances
(laws). 396 residents (99% of those asked) signed a petition in support. Texas Township's Planning Board recommended moving
forward with a website also. Yet at the December 7, 2009 township meeting, Supervisors McDonald, Doney and Wickle voted no
without a reason. Township residents feel so strongly about a need for open, transparent government and a citizens' right
to know, that they have committed time and money to provide this information 24/7 as a public service. (Refer to the "MINUTES"
page for issues that citizens would like addressed).
Who We Are
This website was created and paid for by citizens of Texas Township, Pa. as
a public service. Sources of Township Minutes and Ordinances are from the township secretary and zoning officer respectively.
These documents are in the public domain and by making them available, we ensure some of democracy's great freedoms. Although
every effort is made to assure accuracy, the information herein is presented without warranty as to its accuracy, timeliness
or completeness.
